Bob Howden OBE has been a British Cycling member for 54 years and President since 2013.

Bob raced for 24 years and was a former junior division road champion, representing West Yorkshire at senior level.

He was founder and Chair of the Yorkshire Festival of Cycling, organised the British Cycling National Road Championships in 2005, 2008 and 2012, and continues to organise the annual Ryedale Grand Prix. He is also a national level road commissaire.

Bob is owner and managing director of Ongoing Developments, a group of companies that includes Grass Concrete Limitedz, the inventors and worldwide providers of the Grasscrete paving system.

He was re-elected as President at the 2023 National Council, and this will be his final three-year term in office.
