A day of superb autumn road biking in the White Peak and Staffordshire moorlands – dry roads, clear skies and a light wind, what more could a sportive rider ask for? Certainly the best weather the Tommo has experienced over the three years.

Nearly 200 riders set off from Carsington Water with a choice of a long route (127km), a medium route (78km) or a shorter route (47km), there was a route to challenge everybody.

As with all of Dark and White’s sportives the routes provided the riders with a real test. The Peak District’s steep climbs, with their varying gradients sapped the energy from legs, the reward for such effort however was the beautiful views across the Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire Dales.

Big thanks to everybody that took part. For a full list of rider times see here.
