With less than a month to go, this official Tour de France Legacy event in support of Yorkshire Cancer Research is on track to sell out so this is your last chance to book while registrations are still open.
Set in the rural Vale of York, The Selby Three Swans Sportive offers 30, 60 and 100 mile options centred on the market town of Selby. Touring many picturesque villages on quieter, generally flat roads, the event has something for all abilities.
What did participants think of last year's event?
Highly commended by many for excellent organisation, friendly people, outstanding feed stations and being a great event.
One participant said:
“I just wanted to express my thanks for an excellent sportive yesterday. These events are often judged not by the course itself but by the level of all the support systems that go to look after everyone during the day. The organisation at the registration centre, both before and after the event, along with the excellent feed stations were a credit to everyone involved especially for an inaugural event. The course itself was fast and flat and despite the winds efforts to slow us down we managed a respectable 18mph over the 90-miles even with a slight missed turn along the way which forced us to re-route. All 11 members of our club really enjoyed the day and I would be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to all involved.”
As an added bonus, cyclists, their families and supporters can enjoy the Selby Festival also held on Sunday August 31 with a host of activities planned to attract and entertain visitors to Selby.
