The events origins are rooted in the beautiful village of Brewood, South Staffordshire, where a group of keen cyclists also happened to be fundraisers for the 2nd Brewood Scout Group. The Brewood Scout Fundraisers was formed and the Brewood Cycle Challenge born as an annual fundraiser to raise funds to secure the future of the group's scout hut.
From its inaugural year in 2010 when 112 cyclists set off from Brewood Middle School, by 2012, the event had grown to just shy of 400 entrants experiencing the picturesque and challenging countryside of Staffordshire and Shropshire.

The organisers are pleased to announce that British Cycling will be in attendance at the event and to flag riders off as they roll out on this year’s exciting new routes.
