Securing his second win of the day, Calum Irvine (Cairngorm CC) was fastest in the final round of the Caithness Festival of Cycling, the 11-mile hilly Loch Calder time trial.

Irvine’s 28-08 gave him a winning margin of 13 seconds over Gregor Grant (Moray Firth CC), but it wasn’t quite enough to secure the overall title as fourth place in 28-41 saw veteran Callum Finlayson (Forres CC) retain a 40-second advantage on aggregate times across the three events.

Chloe Fraser (Deeside Thistle CC) was fastest woman in all three events to take the overall win.
