Clear in a three-man break for over half of the 77-mile race, Kit Gilham (Herbalife-Leisure Lakes Bikes.com) proved strongest in the final sprint to win the seven-lap Neil White Memorial Road Race in North Yorkshire.

Gilham, from York, team-mate Alastair Kay and Dan Smith (Velo 29) pulled away after 30 miles of racing, opening up a maximum lead of 1-30 over the main bunch whose reaction came too late with the gap still at around half a minute by the finish.

The supporting five-lap race saw Martin Gibson lead a one-two for Adept Precision RT ahead of Shaun Tyson.
