Time trial specialist Joe Perrett (Ciclos Uno) showed his strength to score a decisive victory in Lea Valley CC’s 142-km road race over eight laps of the Bicknacre circuit in Essex.

The Ilford 21-year-old, competing in his first open road race of the season, rode off the front of the field to finish over three minutes clear of the rest, who were led in by Andy Hastings (Metaltek-Scott).
