Charlie Tanfield of Velo29 CT won both of the under 16 races in race one of the Cleveland Wheelers CC Youth Races in Middlesbrough.
Matthew Worton of Hetton Hawks CC came second in the first race but in the second, team mate James Morgan finished runner-up.
Jake Dobson of Newcastle Phoenix CC replicated Tanfield’s feat in the under 14 category. Richie Allen, also of Newcastle Phoenix, showed some consistency finishing third in both races.
In the under 14 girls, it was the same three riders in the top three on both occasions, albeit in a different order.
Hannah Banks of East Bradford CC won the first but came third in the second race. Kirsty Boak of Tyneside Vagabonds recovered from a third place finish in the first race to win the second. Samantha Verrill completed the podium on both occasions.
Aaron Preston and Toby Tanfield, both of Cleveland Wheelers CC, came home first and second respectively in both races of the under 12 boys. Fiona Turnbull (Tyneside Vagabonds CC) won both of the girl’s races.
In the under 10 category, Henry Demoily (Cleveland Wheelers CC) was the fastest boy twice and there was a win each for Annabelle Sefton (Cleveland Wheelers CC) and Lauren Kilcullen (Stockton Wheelers) in the girl’s races.
Patrick Kilcullen (Stockton Wheelers) completed a double in the under 8 boys and Lititia Hay (Hetton Hawks CC) matched the achievement in the girl’s event.
