Norwood Paragon CC’s Ben Moores took victory in the fifth round of the South East Road Race League Winter Series at the Cyclopark in Gravesend, Kent, on Sunday.

The 26-year-old from Southwark held off 38-year-old London Phoenix rival David Murrell for the win in the 1/2 cat race, while Margate 27-year-old Craig Joy (Team Toachim) took third.

Over in the race for 3/4 cats and youth, 42-year-old Mark McCullagh (Dulwich Paragon CC) continued his consistent form with a victory.

The Londoner was taking his second victory in the five races so far, following his win in round four just before Christmas, but he has finished third, fifth and eighth in the first three races.

Leigh on Sea’s Matt Barlow (Essex Roads CC) was second to McCullagh in round four a few weeks ago, and he had to settle for second once again, while Addiscombe CC’s Peter St Amour was third.
