Organiser Doug Collins stepped forward on behalf of Central Region to promote this championship as no other club or region had bid for the championships. Central Region has promoted this event in the past and always produced a circuit that provides a good race and a worthy champion. Doug is aided this year by the Region Events Officer Mark Doel and between them they have made the event happen within six weeks.
