The Roy Thame Cup & Spring Chicken Road Races

The Roy Thame Cup and Spring Chicken Road Races, promoted by Hemel Hempstead CC, were held in rural Buckinghamshire on Saturday 12 March 2011, with the former attracting a high quality field. 

The 57 mile race was blown apart with four laps to go when an break of 10 riders formed, including Rapha Condor Sharp's Kristian House, Team UK Youth's Magnus Backstedt and a couple of the best young riders in the countyr, Tom Moses and Simon Yates, both of the 100% ME Team.

And it was Yates and Moses who made the most of their team having two riders in the break with Moses winning the sprint from Backstedt and House. Maurice Joyce (MCJ Media) was on hand to capture the finish on video:
