About the Event

Info for Riders

Youths - born 2009 - 2010 - in year of 15th or 16th birthday
Juveniles - born 2011 - 2012 - in year of 13th or 14th birthday

Youths and juveniles have a separate start whistle and race for a shorter period of time as per the guidelines for xc racing, but they are on the same tracks as the main field of riders. Our youth and juvenile category therefore need to be experienced, confident riders and racers as they ride in with the main field. If you are unsure of your child’s suitability for this event, please contact the organiser or the midweekMTBmadness Facebook page.

Don’t prejudge the pace of these youngsters, they ride fast but their race is shorter (around 40 minutes) – remember that if you are trying to keep up with them!
