The popular Castle Combe Summer Series is back for 2025.     Now in the 22nd year of the Series!     This week is the second round of Thursday evening racing at Castle Combe.      Please note that the length of the Junior/Senior races may be changed in order to finish while there is still enough daylight.     The ten rounds will not be on consecutive weeks due to other users booking the Circuit.  Any riders planning to enter on the night, please check the event is on before traveling.     For Youth riders: the Series Points will accrue on the first nine rounds with each rider counting their best eight of the nine.  Medals will be presented in each category at the end of the Series.     For Junior and Senior riders: all weeks will accrue Series Points.  With Prize Money being sent out to top riders after the Series.     All events will be subject to any Covid/Public Health Procedures in place at the time of each event.

Info for Riders

Pre-entry online is strongly recommended.

 

Please note that entry on the day (subject to spaces still being available) will be payable by cash/card only (no cheques accepted).

 

Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.  Online entry will be open until 9am on the day of the races.  If you need to withdraw or change the category of the race you have entered then please let us know before the day of the races.

 

Third Category riders entering the E/1/2/3 race may be moved to the 3/4 race at the discretion of Chief Commissaire and Organiser.

 

Due to the category of these races a Full Licence or a Day Licence is required.  A Provisional Licence is not sufficient.  Day Licences can be purchased at sign-on.

As an incentive to new adult riders, the Summer Series will cover the cost of the Day Licence for their first two events.  (So new riders will only have to pay the entry fee on those two events.)

All Youth riders will need a Gear/Bike Check before signing on.

 

Youth riders without a Licence will need to purchase a Day Licence and have a *Parental Consent form completed before signing on.  (*Available in sign-on.)

Any Youth A or Youth B wishing to ride up MUST have their Dispensation Card with them at sign on.  Chief Commissaire and Organiser have the right to accept or decline anyone riding up. 

 

Rider Briefings for Youth and Women's races will be at the start line five minutes before race start time.  ALL riders must attend.

 

Rider Briefings for 3rds/4ths and E/1/2/3 races will be at the far end of the Pit Lane five minutes before race start time.  ALL riders must attend.

 

Refunds are at the discretion of the Event Organiser. No refunds will be given for riders not attending without notifying the Organiser. If, before the day of the race, riders notify the Organiser that they are withdrawing an alternative Round of the Series will be offered.
