About the Event

Info for Riders

Eligibility

  • open to any rider with a disability who holds a valid British Cycling Silver or Gold membership or a valid competition licence issued by any other national federation recognised by the UCI.
  • Classified riders will compete in the Sport Group allocated in their most recent National or International Classification session. However, International Classification will supersede National Classification for all events on the UCI calendar (incl. National Championships).
  • Riders with a disability who do not meet the UCI eligible impairment criteria may compete in the following groups:

Men’s and Women’s Bicycles (MC-D, WC-D)

Men’s and Women’s Handcycles (MH-D, WH-D)

Men’s and Women’s Tricycles (MT-U, WT-U)

Men’s and Women’s Recumbent Tricycles (MT-R, WT-R)

Open and Women’s Tandems (OB, WB)

  • Riders under 16 from 14 years old may only compete in traffic-free or closed circuit events.

Event Format 

  • Rides will be set off 1 minute apart. 
  • Trikes and Handbikes are encouraged to have a chaperone rider, to complete the course with them on a solo bike, for safety 
  • Handbikes must have a flag, all bikes should have front and rear lights. 
  • Each race will be approximately 1-hour in duration
