Entries are now open for the 2025 Scottish National Youth and Junior Track Championships!

Entries close on Friday 16th May 2025.

The timings indicated on the event entry are indicative only and the final timetable will be published as soon as possible after the close of online entries and will be circulated to all riders, along with the race manual.  The final schedule will be dependent on the number of entries received for each competition and may be subject to change prior to the start of the event.

There will be a section within track centre for spectators to access during competition.

Note that there is a major change in how entries are being processed this year. This mainly relates to Youth A and Youth C riders.

Youth A Riders will enter the Overall Championship. This will automatically gain them entry to the Sprint, 2km Individual Pursuit, 500m Time Trial, 10km Scratch Race, Keirin and 12.5km Points Race.

Youth B riders will enter their individual Championship events which are the 500m Time Trial, 8km Scratch Race and the 12.5km Points Race. They also have the option to 'Ride up' in the individual Youth A Championships (with the Chief Commissaire's discretion) by entering these individual races.

Youth C riders will enter the Overall Championship. This will automatically gain them entry to the 500m Time Trial, 3km Scratch Race 6km Points Race. By entering the Overall Championship, they will also automatically be entered in the non-Championship Olympic Elimination Race.

Juniors will enter their individual Championship events which are the 1km Time Trial, Sprint, 3km Individual Pursuit, 10km Scratch Race, Keirin and 20km Points Race. Youth A riders also have the option to 'Ride up' in the individual Junior Championships (with the Chief Commissaire's discretion) by entering these individual races.

Info for Riders

The event will be delivered under Scottish Cycling regulations. 

Competitors in all Scottish Cycling Championships are required to have a full Scottish Cycling/British Cycling or UCI racing licence, which must be presented at sign on.

Please be aware that only riders meeting the criteria below will be eligible to contest the Championship title.

However, as per new regulations, individuals who are not eligible are now allowed to compete in the Championships. These people will be allowed to race but will not be able to contest the title. This will provide more race opportunities for ineligible riders and will allow more people to experience these Championship level events.

All Scottish Cycling Championship Titles shall be open to contest by people who meet at least one of the following criteria (as well as holding a minimum of SC/BC Membership and full race licence):

Persons whose primary club is affiliated to Scottish Cycling (licence showing that club or team at the time entries close).
Scottish Nationals (persons born in Scotland).
Scottish Residents (persons who have continuously lived in Scotland for the last three consecutive years prior to the day of the Championship).
Persons who have at least one parent who was born in Scotland.
Members of the armed forces who meet none of the above, but who by necessity are required to live in Scotland away from their normal residence.

For all team Championships, excluding Track, eligibility requires each team member to meet at least one of the above criteria, as well as each rider’s licence showing the same club or team at the time of entries closing. Clubs or teams, in this instance, may be affiliated to any UCI registered governing body. For Track Championships team eligibility see SC6.2.6.

Persons in SC2.2.1-SC2.2.6 must be members of an UCI recognised Cycling Federation.

The Organiser and Scottish Cycling may select the field for any Championship from the competitors entered.
