Event Summary

Event Overview

To be eligible to ride the Beicio Cymru road race Championships, riders must meet one or more of the following criteria:
Have been born in Wales or have a parental principal place of domicile in Wales OR Be the son or daughter of a person born in Wales or whose parents' principal place of domicile was in Wales OR Have resided in Wales for 3 years consecutively prior to the date of the Championship.

The Beicio Cymru road race Championships will consist of the following races - Open Masters race at 14:00 on Saturday 31th May. The Woman's race at 10:00 on Sunday 1st June. The Open Junior/Senior race at 14:00 on Sunday 1st June. Junior/senior race is over 4 laps of a 17 mile circuit. Women's and Masters races over 3 laps of the same circuit.

The winners of each of the 10 English Regional Championships, the Welsh and the Scottish Road Race Championships (Open and Female) that meet the eligibility criteria for the event, will now be considered for selection into National Road Race Championships under point 6 of the selection criteria.

It is important to note that the riders will need to have entered the National Championships prior to the closing date to be considered.

The Championships is an open event and therefore not restricted to Welsh precipitants. Riders must meet the criteria as detailed below in order to be eligable for a Beicio Cymru Championships award.
