British Cycling Pathway RSR MTB XC - Cannock Chase #1

This event is invite only

Please note, you must complete Camp 1 to progress to Camp 2 and 3

The newly developed Camps replace the old, one day Regional Schools of Racing. They have been designed and developed to give you, the racer, more contact time with us as coaches. In essence, you will now have 6 sessions rather than 3.

25/26 Jan           Camp 1              XC Skills

22/23 Feb          Camp 2              Rider to Racer

08/09 Mar          Camp 3              Race Preparation 

How will this work? Each Camp will be NON-Residential and over 2 days.

Online entry will be via the British Cycling entry portal and all 3 sessions need to be entered at the time of entering, the fee is £15 per session giving a total of £90.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Please note, you need to have completed Camp 1 to progress to Camp 2 and 3

The camps will have a format similar to the below:

Day 1:

09:30 Arrive

10:00 Briefing, Introductions, expectations and content

3hrs of skills-based sessions, riders split into groups and rotate around with coaches

Race scenarios based on skills learned throughout the day

Classroom based activity

17:00 Debrief

 

Day 2:

08:00 Arrive

08:30 D1 Reflections, D2 briefing, group management

09:30 Coach led racing with opportunities to have full effort debriefs with coaches, guest expert riders etc.

14:30 D2 and Camp debrief, what to work on and next camp

15:00 Depart

As you can see, the camps will be very active both on and off the bike.

We will have guest expert riders along with guest coaches delivering so lots of learning to be done!
