Cwmcarn Paragon Youth in association with WORA (Wales Offroad Academy) are hosting a series of 7 linked, progressive CX sessions for youth riders from any club in Wales, running every Tuesday 5:30-7pm at Risca Leisure Centre:

17nd September

24th September

1st October

8th October

15th October

22nd October

 

Criteria:

  • Second year U12
  • U14 & U16 riders
  • Looking to start racing or already racing
  • Welsh eligible 

Goals:

  • Improve core CX skills
  • Learn about the demands of CX racing
  • Improve technical and physical ability off-road
  • Feel confident to enter a CX race, if not already racing

Info for Riders

What to expect:

A mixture of skills coaching and race focussed endurance sessions.

Please also complete at least sections 1,2 and 7 of this parental consent form and email in advance or bring to the session:

Please bring:

  • A suitable bike, ideally Cyclo-cross however a hardtail MTB would be suitable but not ideal.
  • Flat or SPD pedals (whichever you are comfortable riding)
  • The spares you would usually carry on a ride – puncture kit, multi tool etc.
  • Water and snacks
