Friday Night Hot Laps 2024

Cyclo-Cross , Cheltenham – Friday, 21 Jun 2024

Event Summary

Event Overview

We will be running the Friday Night Hot Laps race again at Pittville Park on Friday 21st June 2024.

Starting from 6 pm, you can ride your bike around a specially laid out course to test your skills and have some fun. And then from 7 pm, there will be a hot lap time trial where you’ll get to see how quickly you can circumnavigate the course.

You can use ANY bike that’s in reasonable working order. Something with wide tyres is best. If it’s dry ground, your road bike will be fine as long as you don’t mind the odd bumpy section! Keep your tyre pressures low as that will help with grip.

We hope this will be a good spectator and social event so feel free to bring a picnic and some refreshments along.

There'll hopefully be teas, coffees and cakes on sale too.

To sign up for the riding, you’ll need to register over on the British Cycling website. The fee is just £3. The minimum age is 12 and we will favour local riders if the events are oversubscribed. You can sign up on the night too if there is any space left.

Once again, ALL abilities are welcome, so please come along and test your skills and have some fun on a specially laid out course, then see how quickly you can do your Hot Laps Time Trial (approx 10 minutes).

Location: Pittville Park/Grass CycloCross Course next to the Prince of Wales Stadium : Tommy Taylors Ln, Cheltenham GL50 4RN

We will have car parking available (parking is also available on the road/s opposite Pittville Park)  at the stadium and also toilet facility within the leisure centre.

Entry: Online, or register on the day, only £3 per event for the Friday Night Hot Laps.

There will also be a cyclocross race, including a novice category, on Sunday 28th July (Pittville Park) so please add that date to your calendars. The prices for the cyclocross race in July will be announced closer to the time.
