About the Event

Helmets must be worn at all times while riding.

** Gear check is compulsory for all riders prior to sign on **

Gear restrictions as British Cycling Handbook 2024, Road Technical Regulations R2.1.8.1:

"Riders shall be restricted to a maximum gear such that the distance covered per crank revolution is as shown":

Youth E (U8) = 5.10 metres

Youth D (U10) = 5.40 metres

Youth C (U12) = 6.05 metres

Youth B (U14) = 6.45 metres

Youth A (U16) = 6.93 metres

It is the riders responsibility to arrive at the race with the correct gear restriction applied to their bike.

** At the end of the race, the Top 3 finishers in each category must report to the commissaire for gear check before leaving the circuit **

Wheel restrictions as British Cycling Handbook 2024, Road Technical Regulations R2.1.8.3.1.1 & R2.1.8.3.1.2:

"a maximum rim depth of 35mm" & "a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 spokes, which can be round, flattened or oval but must not exceed 10mm in width"

Helmets must be worn at all times while riding.

** Gear check is compulsory for all riders prior to sign on **

Gear restrictions as British Cycling Handbook 2024, Road Technical Regulations R2.1.8.1:

"Riders shall be restricted to a maximum gear such that the distance covered per crank revolution is as shown":

Youth E (U8) = 5.10 metres

Youth D (U10) = 5.40 metres

Youth C (U12) = 6.05 metres

Youth B (U14) = 6.45 metres

Youth A (U16) = 6.93 metres

It is the riders responsibility to arrive at the race with the correct gear restriction applied to their bike.

** At the end of the race, the Top 3 finishers in each category must report to the commissaire for gear check before leaving the circuit **

Wheel restrictions as British Cycling Handbook 2024, Road Technical Regulations R2.1.8.3.1.1 & R2.1.8.3.1.2:

"a maximum rim depth of 35mm" & "a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 spokes, which can be round, flattened or oval but must not exceed 10mm in width"
