Calshot Tuesday Night Track Session return for winter 2022/2023, again with 8 sessions booked, 4 either side of Xmas & New Year

The session is open to Youth A/B to Adult, U23, senior Masters etc.

Sessions will mainly focus on track racing skills, and group size is limited to ensure we have a single group + maybe the odd sprinter. So expect to get a lot of riding done during these two hour sessions. 

Rider should be competent track riders, and be comfortable riding in a bunch on the track.

Calshot, being a small track does require some specific skills, so if this is your first time riding at Calshot, do expect your first session to be about orientating to the track.

Info for Riders

Track time is 19:30 to 21:30, try to arrive by around 19:00, so you are ready to ride by 19:30.

If you are going to be late just let me know, so we can accomodate you.  

Gearing - it is recommended to gear down for Calshot - recommended gearing is 81" to 845". If you are a faster rider, gear down (81" or less) and get a solid work out while developing your suppless.

Venue: Calshot Activities Centre Calshot Spit, Fawley, Southampton, SO45 1BR, changing rooms and showers are available on site. 

Kit: Most riders will have their own track bikes, though track bike can be hired on the day from Calshot Activity Centre (normally go to the climbing wall hut to book and pay). Calshot hire bikes use Look Keo pedals. Pedals cannot be changed, though you can hire compatible shoes with the bike.

BRING A WARM WINTER COAT AND TRACK SUIT BOTTOMS, Some also bring a deckchair
