Wednesday races will be at Wakefield(2), Hammerstones(2), Forge Valley(2) & Doncaster(2). Thursday races will be York(4) & Leeds (4)

Grassroots Circuit racing for youths on closed road circuits for age categories :-Under 8 (E), Under 10  (D) , U12 (C), U14 (B) and U16 (A). All races are stand alone events, i.e. no league. 2022 will continue to be a case of putting on anything we can to start a return to normality and hopefully return to something like it used to be in the future. There will be 8 Wednesday races and 8 Thursday races on alternating weeks as before with some longer races on weekends to be arranged. Costs are still a major problem, so we will do what we can with the limited finances we have at the moment.

Races will be from 1845 hrs each night & roughly as below. All U14/U16  Boys to be signed on by 1950hrs so that if numbers are low, a combined race can go ahead at 2000. All Categories are restricted to 40 rider fields for the present time, so it will be a first come, first entered format until the field is full.

                      2030 U16 Boys (A)

Races will close at 12 noon on the day before the event so that Chip timing/attendance sheets can be sorted and sealed envelopes with number/pins/chip can be allocated.

Full covid requirements will be on the League Website prior to the first event.

All entries and Licences are required to be completed online prior to each event. 

There will be no entry on night or money changing hands to keep everyone one safe.

Gear restrictions apply as per British Cycling technical regulations.This is to stop them pushing too hard a gear with the possibility of damaging knees and encourages a smooth, circular, quick pedalling action. The gears will need to be 'blocked' prior to an event so that larger gears cannot be used. Once they are set it is advised not to unblock them so that the rider gets used to the required gearing for the races.. Details of Gear Checking will be provided per event but riders/parents will need to be able to roll the bike out backwards over the gear required for that age group. Checkers will only observe, so get training! or we may be back to normal when full racing rules return, who knows?

Race fields will be forwarded the day before for info along with any other requirements. Please try to arrive within half an hour of race, warm up will be at your vehicle or at a designated spot and masks are advisable for all. Only toilets will be available on the night, so please come self sufficient.
