WOMENS RACE IS CANCELLED WITH ONLY 4 ENTRIES RECEIVED.

 

THE 2022 HHCC Santini BOVINGDON BOMBER SUMMER CRITERIUM SERIES
HHCC run criterium racing at the popular HHCC Bovingdon Bomber Cycle Circuit. The Bomber is a 1 mile long smooth purpose built racing circuit. It is fast, flat, sweeping and technical and always produces good safe racing. We are supported by Santini, Velofique and Lovelo/Venture Performance. Judith Parry and Richard Knight are our two official photographers.

7:45pm MENS RACE (2/3/4)


Entry £16 in advance or £20 on the night. We have recently invested a substantial sum in new tarmac at the circuit to make it safer for our riders so have had to put a "tarmac tax" of £1 on the entry fee to go towards paying this money back.   

THE SEVEN CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHER CATEGORY NIGHTS DECIDE THE KING & QUEEN OF THE BOMBER
Bomber points which count towards the overall King & Queen trophies will be issued on the higher category (cat. 2/3) championship nights only. Your BEST 5 results will count towards your final score. If points tie then the most wins during the season takes the trophy then counting back to 2nd places, 3rd places etc.

Bomber points will mirror BC points ie. 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1

Sprint primes will only be available at the seven championship rounds only and are awarded to 1st and 2nd over the line (2,1 bomber points & £10 cash to winner). There will be one sprint at any point in the race but not within the first 5 or last 5 laps.

The King & Queen of The Bomber receive the Title, Trophy & £200 cash.

STRICTLY NO ARRIVAL BEFORE 6.30pm IF WE ARE TO BE ALLOWED TO KEEP USING THE CIRCUIT. THE DRIFT LIMITS CUSTOMERS ARE LEAVING AND THE TEAM ARE PACKING AWAY CARS.

FIRST AID
Although we have an excellent safety record at the Bomber, professional dedicated first aid will be present at all our evenings.

The HHCC Bovingdon Bomber Cycle Circuit, Driftlimits, Upper Bourne End Lane, Bovingdon Airfield, Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead, Herts HP1 2RR.

Plug HP1 2RR into your sat-nav.

ACCESS BY CAR
If coming by car then access is from the A41 ONLY (there is no access through the main Bovingdon Market entrance on the Chesham Road). You need to leave the A41 at the Services (McDonalds) junction between Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted/Chesham and head up Upper Bourne End Lane which is signposted Motorsport Academy. Hear right at the top of the lane.

ACCESS BY BIKE
Access by bike is through the industrial area up Bourne End Lane off the London Road in Bourne End. Head up through the restriction to the roundabout where you need to turn left, go under the bridge and turn right then and head up Upper Bourne End Lane. Note the surface up this road is particularly bad and punctures are frequent.

ENTRY & PARKING
At the top of Upper Bourne End Lane you need to head right and drive through the main gates then carry on for approx 350 meters driving past all the storage units and with the clubhouse on your left. Take the right fork heading down to the car park which you will see on the left.

For our evening races no entry through the main gates until 6.30pm on the weekday evening crits please. The circuit is shared with the car drifting company 'Driftlimits'.

We are a 10/15 minute ride from Hemel Hempstead train station if you are coming from London.
