Event Overview

Grasstrack Racing by the sea as part of the inaugural Solway Coast Festival of Cycling. Carlisle Cycling Association present a variety of races for both adult and youth riders on The Green, Silloth within the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Fixed wheel racing for men, women and Youth riders will be interspersed with Go Ride racing for children on freewheel bikes. A single entry fee covers entry to all the adult or youth races. Entry for the Go Ride races will be on the day only. All other races may be booked in advance online.

There will be a range of other bike related activities going on during the day, and plenty of good food and drink available from stalls in the festival area and local outlets so bring the family and enjoy a day out in this beautiful but little known corner of Cumbria.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Racing will be held on a 250m grass track on the seafront at Silloth, close to the amusements. Races will range from 250m to 3km and racing will run from 12noon to 15.45. Minor changes to the schedule may be made depending on entry numbers - full details will be included in the Race Manual which will be emailed out prior to the event.

Although most Covid restrictions have now been lifted in England we ask that competitors and spectators continue to maintain good hand and respiratory hygiene, respect the personal space of others and wear face masks in enclosed areas.

Online booking preferred please, though entry on the day will be available. The Go Ride racing us entry on the day only.
