Race for Grassroots - from beginners to experienced riders

Youth and Juvenile £8 advance entry fee 

£15 advance for Junior and Adults.

NO ENTRY ON THE DAY, NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED
This is because the races this year will use electronic timing - meaning faster results and accurate times for you all, but a slight increase on costs and hence entry fees, and events close for new entries a week before, so that timer files can be prepared.

Info for Riders

Youths - born 2005 - 2006 - in year of 15th or 16th birthday

Juveniles - born 2007-2008 - in year of 13th or 14th birthday

Youths and juveniles have a separate start whistle and race for a shorter period of time as per the guidelines for xc racing, but they are on the same tracks as the main field of riders. Our youth and juvenile category therefore need to be experienced, confident riders and racers as they ride in with the main field. If you are unsure of your child’s suitability for this event, please contact the organiser or the midweekMTBmadness facebook page. 

Don’t prejudge the pace of these youngsters, they ride fast but their race is shorter (40 minutes) – remember that if you are trying to keep up with them!
