Brighton Mitre crit races at Hove Park return for 2021 in a slightly compressed. 
This year we will only be able to hold two out of our usual three races on 9th July and 23rd July.
Each evening will contain the usual grouping of four races, with women's races included in the programme alongside a youth category 14-16. 
The 1km circuit (situated at the northern end of Hove Park) is a tight affair that rewards shrewd, attacking riding and good bike-handling. 
The circuit features a strength-sapping power climb which has its say on the final placings and is often the point of launch for successful attacks.
The races are always enjoyable to both participate in and watch but we have to make a few changes to sign on and entry in order to meet covid regulations and we will not be able to offer entry on the night. All entries will only be accepted and payments processed once we have the final green light from Brighton & Hove City Council and the confirmation that we will be out of the final phase of lock down on 21st June.
Please note that car parking is on the residential streets around Hove Park, and that Hove train station is nearby. 
The nearest toilets are in the southern part of Hove Park (away from the race circuit). 

Info for Riders

Adult race fee = £16 or Youth race fee = £8.

To reduce contact with riders and volunteers we will not be processing day licenses on race nights. Therefore if you do not have a race license you MUST purchase the higher entry fee when you reach the entry option screen, as outlined below:
Adults = £26 to include your day license fee of £10 and race fee of £16.
Youths = £9.50 to include your day license fee of £1.50 and race fee of £8.

The course will be open for warm up laps until 30 minutes prior to the first race but only in between races if time allows. There are plenty of side roads to the park if you need to warm up prior to your start time.
Please try to avoid congestion at the sign-on tent by signing up in race order. If you are racing in the second race, please sign on once the first race is underway, similar for the 3rd race. Your licence will be checked but not retained and a race official will sign you in. Please be ready to check in with the NHS app and use the sanitisation points and observe as much social distancing as possible before your race starts. 
There are toilets in the park but they close at dusk (around 8pm)
