In these uncertain times, the one thing that can get us through them is sheer child-like optimism. So here goes: let's register a race and see what happens...

Back for a second appearance after the success of last year's event, we're putting on one of the few opens with timed events for men and one of the only opporunities for women to ride a derny race outside of the national champs.

Men's Omnium:

900m TT (2 laps)

15 lap scratch

Kierin

Individual Pursuit (6 laps)

25 lap points race (Points every 5, double points on the last sprint, counting to overall omnium total)

Women's Dernyfest

If you've not seen derny racing before, get ready for a treat! This isn't a kierin, it's an endurance scratch race with up to 9 riders on the track, each paced by their own individual derny. If you have a request for your pacer, please add it in to the custom field when you sign up, if you don't know any pacers, you're in luck: we do! We're happy to assign one for you. Just let us know.

Due to the high speeds involved, we're only allowing riders with derny experience to race this event. If you've not ridden behind one before, there will be sessions run by the velodrome up on Rider HQ before the event.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to accept entries on the day for the dernyfest as we need to seed riders and pair them up with pacers, so make sure you get your entry in advance!
