Parentini West Thames Club Test event

Closed Circuit , Hayes – Tuesday, 04 Aug 2020

Event Summary

Event Overview

Back for another year the series will run weekly from the 14th April to the 18th August. in addition we will also be running 3 stand alone events on Saturdays the 4th,11th and 18th  of July.

Race format this year will be a seperate 4th category race to start at 6.30 p.m. then followed by an E/12/3 event and running at the same time a 3rds only event.

There will be an overall league table for all riders this year with prizes given out on the last Tuesday evening which will be in addition to the weekly prizes. Our sponsors Parentini will be sponsoring this as well as providing a race leaders jersey for the leading rider.

Only league members will score league points and will be eligible for the overall prize list.

The races are open to all BC members, you do need a racing licence in addition to BC membership to race and day membership can be purchased on the day.

As this is a league based competition to qualify for overall prizes and a cheaper entry fee riders must join the West Thames league on line, entry fees will be members, pre entry on line £13 and on the day £15.

Non league members, pre entry £18 and on the day £20.

Cash prizes will be given for the top 6 places in both the E/1/2/3 and  3rds races, whilst product prizes will be given to the top 6 in the 4th category race.

As stated an overall series which is sponsored by Italian clothing company Parentini will also run over the season with the top 6 riders winning additional prizes.

BC Ranking Points will awarded in all races

It is crucial that you pin your race number in the correct position as photo finish equipment is used. This enables the organisers to pay prize money on the night and also issue the result.

3rd Category riders can choose their race, however if they move up to ride the E/1/2/3 they can not swap back unless there are extenuating cirumstances .

The event is run as Regional C+ classification.

The 4th category event is aimed at providing competitors a great facility to build race skills and experience. Prizes are awarded for top 6 riders.

It will be the intention to run the races both clockwise and anti clockwise, alternating on a weekly basis, however if numbers are high the second race will be run clockwise as we feel this is a safer option.

NOTE: Secure lockers are provided within the club house for a refundable £2.00 deposit, please do not leave valuables within your vehicle. The organising team cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to equipment left in such a way.

There will be limited refreshments available at the venue prior to the races.

Sigining on will remain open until approx 5 mins before the start of each event to give those turning up from work time to arrive.
