NOVICE
Cyclocross Races
Age related races for anyone who fancies a go at 'cross.
A great introduction to the sport ahead of the winter series, come along and give it a try.
The races will be run on a grassy surface and will be suitable for all bikes although off road tyres will be preferable for better grip.
Mountain bikes are great but please remove any 'cow catcher' bar ends.
Please arrive in plenty of time to sign on for your race and to pin your number on ! (at least half an hour early)
Following the racing there will be an informal BBQ - bring (and cook) your own food !
Programme :
10am Under 8. 10 minutes
10.15 am Under 10. 15 minutes
10.45 am. under 12. 20 minutes
11.15 am. Under 17. 30 minutes
12.00pm. Over 17 Men. 40 minutes
12.01pm. Over 17 Ladies. 40 minutes
Medals for top 3 riders in each race and certificates for all finishers.

About the Event
Info for Riders
To ride this event you don't need to be a budding Sven Nys, just turn up and enjoy it !
The course will be run on grass playing fields with the addition of a short woodland area for the under 12 race upwards.
Expect lots of twists and turns and the 'Spiral of Doom' to test your bike handling skills.
Under 10/8 riders will be on a shorter course which doesn't take in the woodland - parents will be encouraged to push where necessary !
As this is a novice (fun) event there will be no chip timing, but club officials will record results for each race - please allow them time to compile the results which will be announced as soon as possible after each race.
CAR PARKING.
please use the schools TOP carr parking areas - DO NOT park on the local roads.
