The Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club are pleased to introduce the new 'HHCC Bovingdon Bomber' circuit. The Bomber is a 1km long super smooth grippy tarmac closed racing circuit (the tarmac was laid in 2015/16). It is fast, sweeping, flat and technical circuit with one tighter left hander and 'The Pin' which always stretches the pack out. Photo links below.

Two seperate criterium races per evening every other Wedsnesday - a MENS race (alternating cat. 3/4 & 2/3/4) followed by a WOMENS race (always cat. 2/3/4).

Both races are Regional C+ events with full BC points and cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed riders. Limited field of 40 riders per race.

IMPORTANT TIMINGS

RACE 1 MEN: Arrive 6.30pm (no earlier). Sign-on 6.30pm to 7pm. Race 7.05pm (40mins + 3 laps).

RACE 2 WOMEN: Arrive 7.05pm. Sign-on 7.05pm to 7.50pm. Race 7.55pm (30mins + 3 laps).

STRICTLY NO ARRIVAL ON SITE BEFORE 6.30pm as we have an agreement with Dacorum council and the supercar company with whom we share the circuit that we must adhere to for racing at the circuit to continue.

ADDRESS & USEFUL DIRECTIONS

The Bovingdon Bomber Circuit, Upper Bourne End Lane, Bovingdon Airfield, Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead, Herts , HP1 2RR.

If coming by car then access is from the A41 only. You need to leave the A41 at the Services (McDonalds) junction and head up Upper Bourne End Lane which is off the northbound slip road.

Access by bike is through the industrial area up Bourne End Lane off the London Road in Bourne End. Turn by the Complete Outdoors. The surface up this road is particularly bad and puntures are likely.

Head right when you get to the top of Upper Bourne End Lane. The circuit is shared with the car drifting company 'Driftlimits'.

There is no access through the main Bovingdon Market entrance.
