Velo Vixens Womens Track Coaching Sessions - Brighton

Track , Brighton – Friday, 10 Jun 2016

Event Summary

Event Overview

90 minute women only track cycling coaching and training sessions.

Open to any woman or girl (over 12) who can ride a bike. We will cater for absolute beginners on track bikes (you must be able to actually ride a bike to join the sessions- you probably ride a road or hybrid bike normally) as well as women who have ridden on a track before. We will split the group into sub-groups to cater for different abilities.

You will experience the exhilaration of riding a track bike around the oldest track in the country, out in the fresh air. We will progress through the series covering a variety of bike handling, group riding, and energy efficiency techniques and tactics.

Run by British Cycling Level 2 Track Coaches – Tim Sales, Anthony Rogers, Dave Gerrey, and Ben Miller

There will be expert riders to support the session - experienced female youth and junior track riders drawn from the local youth clubs PPYCC (Preston Park Youth Cycle Club) and VC Jubilee.

Velo Vixens Brighton Committee members (Alison, Isobel, Wendy, and Amanda) will also be at the sessions to help them run smoothly and answer questions.

Track bikes will be available at the track (£2 hire per bike – please bring cash)
