Here is a link to download a parental consent form: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/zuvvi/media/bc_files/go_ride/Parental_Consent_2012_Form.pdf

Please print this out, have your parents complete it and bring it with you to the session. If you have already filled one in for 2015 then you do not need to do one again and just need to sign on at registration, the one consent form will cover you until 2016. If you haven't you will not be able to sign on without it and having it with you will speed up the sign-on process ensuring you do not miss the start of the session. Please ensure that you have everything you will need in a bag with you. You should have as a minimum, a helmet, a pair of gloves, a water bottle containing water or squash and some healthy snacks. If you have your own track bike and rollers, you should have them with you too. This self-reliance is an important part of your development as a rider.

Due to the number of riders involved in the session and the relative lack of available space, we need to ask that parents, family and other observers please not enter the "D" and instead, sit in the stands. Those adults in the "D" will be there because we have asked them to perform a function on the day. Please arrive in plenty of time - at least 30 minutes before the start of your session.Upon arrival at Newport, please make your way to the sign-on table at the top of the stairs to the track centre.

Once signed on, please go to the "D", leave your kit under a chair in the area marked for your coaching group and if necessary report to the bike hire store to collect your bike. In the event that your size bike is no longer available, please inform one of the coaches, who will be in the "D" so that we can arrange for you to share a bike with a rider from a different group (Newport have limited bike availability and we know we will need to do this from time to time).Once you have your bike, please have a look at the timetable displayed in the "D" to determine when you need to warm up. Two warm-up areas will be marked, one for riders who have their own rollers and another containing rollers for any rider to use. Aim to start your warm-up 30 minutes before your first session on the track, finishing it with 10 minutes to go. This will allow you time to visit the toilet if necessary, grab a drink and get to trackside in time to start promptly. The GB 20-minute warm-up routine will be displayed in the warm-up areas. IMPORTANT: If you do not know how to ride rollers, please ask one of the coaches to help you!

[Please note that beginner riders do not have to warm up, although you might want to have a go on the rollers anyway.]

Throughout the cluster session, please make sure you are aware of when you should next be on track and move quickly to get lined up and ready to go. Immediately before and after your time on track, you will be briefed about what you're doing next and receive feedback on what you have just done. It's important that you're around for this in order to make the most of your time on track. We will also have activities for this interim time, so please don't disappear - all the more reason that you should have everything you need in your bag with you in the "D".

Most of all, have fun and keep the rubber side down!
