Event Overview
For the 3rd year running Bike Shed is proud to present 'The Smuggler', starting and finishing in Barnstaple North Devon this sportive explores the regions finest roads and tackles historic coastal routes exploited by smugglers of old.
Riders will navigate stunning and famous toll roads, climbing the iconic Porlock toll, a beautiful snaking alpine style climb as seen in The Tour of Britain, and the breathtaking Lee Bay toll road that skirts high above the jagged coastline, passing a spot known as 'Smugglers Leap' where a historic smugglers battle took place.
Riders will be treated to jaw dropping vistas, challenging climbs, epic descents, quiet roads and the the finest North Devon food and hospitality to fill your tummies and fuel your engine.
