York Sport Women's Cycling group, our weekly coaching sessions started in April and have been hugely popular, as part of these sessions riders have expressed interest in having a go at racing.  So we have organised this series for any rider wanting to have a go!  Aimed at anyone who wants to try racing for the first time, there are two races per event so you get two chances to come & try it ! Each event also has a women’s race for experienced women racers E,1,2,3,4  & Junior category riders, this is a 50 minute race with a handicap start.  We are also encouraging riders to help out as we need volunteers to help deliver these events, please contact the organiser if you are willing to help out.  It is possible to help and race on the same evening.

Women's racing for all! For Novice/Beginner racers your entry is for two races - Race 1 starts at 19:00, (15 minutes duration) followed by a break then Race 2 starts at 19:30. For experienced women racers there is a 50 minutes +1 lap handicap race for Elite,1,2,3,4,J. There are 4 races in the series, 27th August, September 3rd, 10th, 17th and a series finale Sunday 27th September.
