Event Summary

Event Overview

The fifth staging of the Reading Grand Prix on Saturday July 18 will again offer sprinters and endurance riders the chance to compete for excellent prizes with high quality racing.

The meeting is a round of the National Sprinters League and new for 2015 will include a round of the National Endurance League, which will be incorporated into the annual Reading Grand Prix scratch race over 20km. This will also incorporate the Central Division Championship.

The other Central Division championship race will be in the open 4k team pursuit, a rare chance for club combinations to show their mettle in this discipline.

Palmer Park is one of the homes of derny racing in this country, so a special women's only derny event is also on the programme, the ideal time for practice with the national derny championships the following weekend.

Other events on the programme include short scratch and points races with the final event of the day seeing the sprinters battle it out in the Keirin.

The event is promoted by Tricyclesports.co.uk with grateful assistance from officials from Reading Velodrome Racing.and Reading Borough Council,
