Event Overview

The Peebles Under 16 Mountain Bike Stage Race is an exciting grass roots 1 day event consisting of 4 seperate races for mountain bikers aged 5 to 16 (age on 31/12/13). Points are awarded for positions in each race with the totals being added up at the end to conclude the final positions. There are prizes for every rider! Its a great introduction to mountain bike racing.

The Stage Race includes a Cross Country race, individual timed Up Hill and Down Hill race followed by a fast and furious Dirt Crit.

The same bike and tyres must be used for all 5 races.

All races are designed and tailored to each specific riders age category to ensure they are set at an appropriate level to be challenging and enjoyable for beginners to seasoned racers.

This is all set in the fantastic mountain bike location of Glentress Forest in Peebles. The Stage Race is organised and run by Peebles Cycling Club and supported by The East Of Scotland Cycling Association (ESCA), The Forestry Commission and Alpine Bikes.

This is a family friendly event and is very popular with riders and spectator parents, the atmosphere, support, home baking and location make it one not to be missed!

No entry on the day! On line entry only. Limited places available in popular age categories, once these fill up entry will be closed.
