What started as a trial event in 2012, returns for the third consecutive year. Whether a serious competitor or someone just wanting to take part, this event appeals to all. 

After the short steep start the slope gradually eases to around 5%, before rounding the bend and reaching gradients of up to 19% just before the finish. Last year's winner completed the hill climb in just over 1 minute 40 seconds, but there were many who took twice that long!

As the road is closed the event is open to all age groups. Even if not wanting to compete, then this really is event worth watching as the atmosphere generated by the many spectators really make the evening something special.

Whether competitor or spectator if you do come along make sure you don't come with empty pockets, as last year the Deri Dash Hill Climb raised over £1,600 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
