Scoring his first victory of the winter season, Colin May (VC Edinburgh) emerged a clear winner of Glasgow United CC’s Loch Lomond promotion at Ballach.

The Edinburgh 40-year-old finished 56 seconds clear of nearest rival James Fraser-Moodie (Pedal Poer RT) after more than an hour of racing with a further 51 seconds to Simon Kirkness in third place.

The day’s other winners were Harry Johnston (Team Thomsons Cyles), half a minute clear in the race for juniors, veterans and women, and Joe Nally (Hardie Bikes) who dominated the rest of the youth field.
