This course is designed to provide you with information to help you understand how you can support your athletes in their nutrition and feel confident approaching the topic of nutrition.
Developed in collaboration with the Great Britain Cycling Team and Registered Nutritionist - Dr Emily Jevons.
Your riders' diet has the power to make or break their sporting performance, so it is vital you understand how fuelling correctly can contribute to their success.
The course explores the following:
- The three macronutrients and energy requirements
- Supplements and medication safety
- Building a positive relationship with food
- Fuelling performance – race day nutrition, hydration and carbohydrate loading
- Tailoring nutritional strategies
The e-learning contains a series of interactive components, videos and downloadable pdf resources.
It is advised to discuss your athlete’s nutrition with a sports nutritionist/dietician.
How long will the course take to complete?
The course is approximately 2 hours in duration.
