The 2013 British BMX Series visits Platt Fields Park for rounds six and seven with championships potentially being settled in Manchester.
Riders’ seven best results of the nine rounds count towards their final tally - and in both the elite men’s and championship female class a winner could be crowned.
Elite men
British Cycling Olympic Academy Programme rider Curtis Manaton holds a 41.5 point lead over teammate Kyle Evans with wins at rounds two, three and four. A continuation of that form will make the 19-year-old, who has enjoyed two UCI BMX Supercross appearances for Great Britain this year, insurmountable with the final meeting at Gosport remaining.

But Evans will be buoyed by his selection for July’s world championships in New Zealand and a semi-final placing in Papendal’s world cup meeting.
With third place Tre Whyte still recovering from a fractured radius sustained in the Netherlands, Evans should strengthen his hold on second in any case.
Dan McBride and Grant Hill, who were also in the Great Britain ranks for the third round of the UCI BMX Supercross series, complete the top five.
There is also a return to the series for Liam Phillips whose only appearance yielded a victory in round one at the National BMX Centre. The 24-year-old is building up to the UCI BMX World Championships and will start as a favourite to add to his sole win thus far.
Championship female
Nineteen-year-old Charlotte Green, part of British Cycling’s Olympic Development Programme, occupies top spot in the championships female class.

Green justified her inclusion for Great Britain in Papendal by the way of reaching the semi-finals and can all but seal the title in the North West.
Second placed Abbie Taylor (ongoing back problem) and third placed Valerie Zebrokova (broken arm) have been ruled out through injury with Shanaze Reade continuing her rehabilitation from a knee injury.
It hands Green the opportunity to add to her solitary win at round two in Kent and stretch her 25 point lead over Taylor.
Taylor and Zebrokova’s absence could also see Ayesha McLelland and Bethany Shriever – fourth and fifth respectively - capitalise by leapfrogging the duo into second and third.
